DAVIDSON – De’Mon Brooks led four Davidson players in double figures with 17 points as the Wildcats defeated SoCon rival College of Charleston, 77-68, in men’s basketball action Saturday evening at Belk Arena.

The backcourt duo of Nik Cochran and JP Kuhlman contributed 15 points each for Davidson (11-7, 6-1 SoCon), while Tom Droney enjoyed his best game of the season with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, six rebounds and three assists. Continue Reading

DAVIDSON – Davidson College plans to break ground as early as this spring on a $15 million expansion of its Baker Sports Complex, adding basketball practice courts, offices, a new ticket office and a new new main entrance for fans walking from town or the parking lot.

The addition, which will include studios and offices for the college’s growing dance program, could open as soon as Spring 2014, the college says. College officials say it will provide badly need new facilities and “alleviate scheduling burdens” on current space. Continue Reading

Davidson beat The Citadel 70-38 on Thursday night at Belk Arena, getting 15 points from De’Mon Brooks and 12 points from Jake Cohen.

The victory improved the Wildcats’ record to 10-7 overall, 5-1 in the Southern Conference. The Citadel fell to 3-13 on the season, 0-6 in the conference. Continue Reading
