It looked like two utterly different basketball games Wednesday night at Davidson College’s Belk Arena.

Davidson’s Wildcats out-hustled and outshot the Citadel Bulldogs and easily won the second half, 51 to 39. But that wasn’t enough to overcome a cold-shooting first half that left the Cats behind 46-24 at the break.

Though Davidson got as close as 8 points near the end, Citadel hung on for an 85-75 victory. Continue Reading

Kicks for Cats returns at Charleston game Jan. 29

Former Davidson Wildcat basketball player Andrew Lovedale has formed a new Davidson-based nonprofit called Access to Success (A2S), which he says will continue and expand the charitable work he did while at the college.

The foundation co-hosts the annual Kicks From Cats fund-raiser at Saturday’s Davidson vs. Charleston game. Details below.
