Rushco Davidson Market under construction at I-77 Exit 30 may be unlike any highway-exit gas station you’ve ever seen. That observation by Commissioner Margo Williams came during a presentation at the Davidson Town Board’s monthly work session Tuesday night.

Davidson’s Planning Board and Town Board this week will consider a rezoning request that would allow proposed signage at the Rushco Market Davidson, which is under construction at the Davidson Gateway roundabout, off I-77 Exit 30. Developers are seeking a conditional rezoning to allow their signs, saying that the town’s ordinance was designed for downtown, and does not address projects of the kind it is building.
