Davidson’s Town Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday night on proposed planning ordinance amendments that would clear the way for a different kind of development on the former site of Davidson East. The project off N.C. 73 east of town was approved but never built. Supporters say the changes could make the site more attractive to developers of an office or industrial park – or an “employment campus,” in the words of Davidson planners.
The question, Davidson officials say, is what should a “Davidson-style” industrial park look like?

The clients wanted a change from orange ...
Orange, a mix of red and yellow, is a strong color especially in its deeper tones. Of all the colors it is perceived as the hottest. It makes us think of radiant energy and heat, fall and pumpkins, and stark contemporary settings. A room with too much orange can be overpowering so it needs to be used in small doses and in select places.
