After backing away from a possible deal to acquire The Point Lake & Golf Club in Mooresville, it now appears Donald Trump‘s real estate company may be interested again. The Mecklenburg Times is reporting that the Trump company would consider buying it if members want a deal.
The paper quotes Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump, as saying that the Trumps are interested again. Until this week, the golf club was owned by Crescent Communities, which had been negotiating with the real estate group. On Jan. 1, club members took ownership of the property under a longstanding agreement.
Some members said they opposed selling to the Trump, who then dropped plans to acquire the club.
