The Lucky Cat Fundraiser will be a Pawbrokers party at Galway Hooker.

In honor of National Feral Cat Day this October, the Lake Norman Lucky Cat Program will hold its annual fundraiser, a PawBrokers Party, at the Galway Hooker on Thursday, Oct. 18

The party runs from 5 – 9 p.m. at the restaurant, 17044 Kenton Dr., in Kenton Place, Cornelius.

The party is part of an annual effort to remind people that Trap‐Neuter‐Return (TNR) and other humane programs for feral cats are in the best interest of the cats and the community. Read the full story

Cornelius-based Pawbrokers brings its next jewelry party to the Galway Hooker Thursday, June 7. Money raised from the sale of donated jewelry will support REASON (Responsive Education About Spaying Or Neutering) an educational program for children.

Through Pawbrokers, Cornelius resident Roxanne Blake raises money for animal rescue through the sale of donated jewelry. She donates 100 percent of the proceeds from her jewelry parties to different animal rescues, shelters, and other animal-related nonprofits. Read the full story
