Catering to Cats and Dogs is celebrating black cats!
Often overlooked in rescues and shelters, black cats have the lowest adoption rates, the highest euthanasia rates and are statistically less likely to be adopted than more brightly colored felines. Catering to Cats and Dogs is holding a special adoption event this month featuring the black cats (and a few tuxedo cats too) they have available for adoption.
On Saturday, June 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Catering to Cats and Dogs will be at the PetCo at Exit 25 in Huntersville with available cats in tow. The event will feature a special appearance by Charlotte’s most famous black cat, Sir Purr. Sir Purr, mascot of the Carolina Panthers football team, will appear at the event from noon-1 p.m.
Catering to Cats and Dogs is a non-profit feline and canine nurture center concerned with the well-being and health of homeless cats, kittens dogs and puppies. For more information on CTC&D, please visit its website at or check out Catering to Cats and Dogs on Facebook.
