Prior to its regular meeting Monday, the Cornelius Town Board of Commissioners will hold a Citizens Forum at which citizens are invited to share concerns and ask questions of board members. Then, at its regular board meeting, the board will vote on whether to approve a development proposal submitted by the Stewart Group LLC, that aims to build a “landmark building” on the site of the old police lot at the corner of N.C. 115 and Catawba Avenue. Also at the meeting, the board will vote on an amendment to the FY 2012 operating budget that accommodates the increased cost of the Cornelius Veterans Memorial Monument at Rotary Plaza and payment for two fire trucks.
