Ethel Lawing Bridges, 84, of Troutman, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House.

She was born on November 2, 1928 in Harris, NC, to the late Claude and Eva Lackey Lawing. She attended Mars Hill College and Limestone College. Mrs. Bridges was a retired office manager for Dr. Worth T. Bridges Dentist Office. She was a member of the Mooresville Woman’s Club and Iredell County Dental Auxiliary. Marjorie Elizabeth Deal Alley, 88, of Mooresville went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 6, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House. She was a member of Mooresville First Assembly. She was the daughter of the late Cretia Caudalee Hoke Deal and Allen Neely Deal.

Jacqueline Jane Alverson, 82, of Mooresville passed away on November 1, 2012. She was born on November 6, 1929 in Rome, GA to the late Pleasant Roy and Ethel Gray. Ms. Alverson enjoyed people and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Alverson; two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her children, Tony Ledwell, Carl Peterson, Ricky Alverson, Kevin Alverson and Gretchen Mayhorn and her husband, Gary; four grandchildren, Kyle, Janie, Samantha and Gary, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Dominick, Alexandria and Alizah.

She was born on June 4, 1923 in Kannapolis, to the late James William and Ernie Elona Beaver Swing. She was retired from Lowrance Hospital, where she was a switchboard operator.
