Betty Sue Christie Boone, 79, of Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

Evelyn Cutshall Wood, of Mooresville, saw the face of God Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was 86.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1926, in Greenville, TN, to the late U.C. Cutshall and Edna Franklin Cutshall. She was raised in Madison County, where she attended Laurel High School, graduating as the Salutatorian of the class. After graduating she moved to Elkin, NC to live with friends, where she worked in a dime store and later in a Carbon plant during WWII. Read the full story
