Victor James Runco, 80, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Serenity House in Mooresville, with his family by his side.
He bravely served in the US Army during the Korean War. Victor married his wife, Vivian, in 1954 and they raised their family in Long Island, NY.
He was a carpenter by trade and spent anytime not at work with his family, enjoyed Sunday dinners, fishing, playing cards, and his winter home in Florida.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Vivian; adoring daughters Diane Burke, Carol Sticco and their spouses; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He will be greeted in Heaven by his son, Joseph J Runco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 2 at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at 1:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:30-8:30 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
