In 2007, Davidson author Rosie Molinary
wrote “Hijas Americanas: Beauty, Body Image, and Growing Up Latina,” which looked at the coming-of-age experiences of Latinas in America. Readers of the book, Latinas or not, have responded to her messages about having a healthy-self image, and it led her to write a new volume, “Beautiful You: A Daily Guide to Radical Self-Acceptance.” As its title implies, it’s a book filled with 365 days of readings, exercises and tips for any woman struggling with concerns about appearance and self-image. DavidsonNews.net
met with Rosie last week for a 4-minute interview about the book and its message, and some of the planned events and activities coinciding with the book’s release. (More about the book below) Read the full story
