Save the date: Halloween march is Oct. 29

Davidson Parks & Rec and local merchants will host the annual town Halloween march on Friday, Oct. 29. Kids and parents are invited to come in costume and stroll on Main Street collecting treats from downtown merchants.
Line up at Town Hall, march begins at 5:15 p.m. Free. More information: Davidson Parks & Recreation 704-892-3349.

Openings available in late-summer camps

It may be nearly August, but believe it or not, you can still find a summer camp for those antsy kids, if you need to. Davidson Parks & Rec has openings for the next few weeks in camps for bowling, etiquette, science, fencing, jewelry making and other topics. Also, a note about Spanish camps by Lake Norman Language Academy.

It's July, but these camps have openings

It may be mid-July, but some summer camps in and around Davidson still have openings. Davidson Parks & Recreation has slots open for basketball, sailing, golf and other camps in the week of July 18. Meanwhile, Know Your Farms summer food camp has openings over the next couple of weeks, and the Davidson Art Camp is accepting registrations for camps beginning July 26.

They’re out! Summer vacation is here! Beat the “I’m bored,” computer and television trap before it starts. Register your kids for Davidson Parks & Rec summer camps so they can enjoy an activity that they love or just try a new activity. They can have a blast with friends while you run errands and check things off your “to do” list.
