Happy Passover to my readers.

Every time I drive by the parking lot outside Our Town Cinemas on Griffith Street, I see a full parking lot. I know people are going and enjoying the atmosphere. I have been promising myself a night or afternoon at the movie and finally I went with my daughter and granddaughter.

How fortunate we are to have this beautiful movie house in our neighborhood. Davidson has been without a movie theater for many years.

I must say this was the most enjoyable, totally different, and completely comfortable movie experience that I have ever had. The seats are stadium style so no one is really directly in front of you. You have your own moving seat complete with arms. There are little cabaret style tables so that you can eat or drink in comfort.

And oh yes, I said eat. You have a choice of White Castle Hamburgers (a favorite from my own childhood), or Nathan’s hot dogs, (another favorite) or pizza from the Brickhouse restaurant. And of course candy, pop corn, soda etc.

I probably will never go to Concord Mills again and face the traffic, or take an hour to get there only to find that I have to sit way up in the balcony. At this stage of my life I want my comfort. Call me spoiled…

Do yourself a favor, go to the movies……Call me so that we can arrange to go in a group.
