Organic gardening expert Don Rosenberg will speak to the Davidson Senior Scholars on Wednesday, Jan. 26, on building an organic garden. The free talk is 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Davidson Parks & Recreation offices, 416 Armour St.

CORNELIUS - Second graders from St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Huntersville will sing for and mingle with seniors at special intergenerational holiday program Tuesday, Dec. 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at North Mecklenburg Senior Center, 18731 W. Catawba Ave., in Cornelius.
All seniors from the community are invited to attend. Admission is free.

Davidson Community Players’ Seniors on Stage acting class presents its first workshop production “Young at Heart: A Laugh-In Experience” this Wednesday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 11, at Armour Street Theater in Davidson. Wednesday’s show is at 2 p.m., Saturday’s at 11 a.m.

CORNELIUS – Falls are the leading cause of injury and death among people over 65 years old, and studies have shown that those who survive are two or three times more likely to fall again. North Mecklenburg Senior Center is offering a program beginning Nov. 15 that it says will save lives, titled “A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls.”
