CHARLOTTE – Discovery Place is offering a special weekday discount to senior citizens (age 60+) to see “Mummies of the World,” as the blockbuster exhibition enters its final weeks in Charlotte. Beginning Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 16, seniors can visit “Mummies of the World” on any weekday for just $15. The special pricing represents a 25% discount from the standard senior ticket price of $20. To receive the discount, seniors must mention SENIOR DAYS when purchasing tickets and must show a valid ID.
With an astounding collection of 150 specimens and objects, the exhibition is the largest collection of real human and animal mummies ever assembled. Through modern science and engaging interactive and multi-media exhibits, the exhibition reveals how the scientific study of mummies provides a window into the lives of ancient people, offering unprecedented insights into past cultures and civilizations. Mummies of the World brings together a collection of specimens from 20 loaning organizations and institutions around the world and is on tour in the U.S. for a limited time only. Charlotte is one of only seven U.S. cities to feature the exhibition which is now entering its final weeks at Discovery Place and will close April 8.
