A 35-year-old Cornelius man received a citation after fireworks he was setting off caused a fire that burned a condominium Sunday night in the Wood Duck Cove subdivision, off N.C. 73 in Cornelius. No one was injured in the fire. Read the full story

Police are looking for the owner of a charred sweater found at the scene of an arson fire that destroyed an empty house on Meadow Crossing Lane in the Glenridge neighborhood early Tuesday morning. The clothing was found on the back deck of the home – the point of origin for the fire – and may have been used to start the fire. Read the full story
