Students on the chess team at Cornelius Elementary faced off against the Blythe Elementary team Thursday, in the schools’ first human chess game. Students wore t-shirts with chess pieces on them, and moved across a large chess board in accordance with regular chess rules. Captains from each team plotted the moves, and instructed the players.
