Music teacher Sabrina Williams has joined the Community Arts Project team and invites parents and their young ones to check out CAP’s fall music class offerings. For every featured bracelet sold, Brighton will donate $24 to CAP.
The Brighton store at Northlake Mall is offering a special opportunity to support the Community Arts Project in Cornelius. From June 1 through July 31, the store will donate a portion of the proceeds from every Americana bracelet sold to the arts nonprofit. Read the full story

Thursday morning rainclouds parted in time for the Spring Break PARC Day at Smithville Park. The free event, sponsored by the Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department, the Cornelius Police Department, CrimeStoppers and Coca-Cola, drew a small but excited crowd to the park.
