A truck jackknifed on I-77 southbound just south of Exit 28 Thursday afternoon, backing up traffic for hours.
The wreck happened after 4pm, between Mile 27 and Mile 28 of the highway. The accident caused traffic on I-77 to back up for hours, at one point past Exit 42, readers told CorneliusNews.net.
The incident also caused traffic jams on secondary roads, including US 21 and NC 115.
