Teams are battling it out in the fundraising for this weekend’s Huntersville/Cornelius Relay for Life
, and they’re getting ready Friday night’s start of the overnight walk to raise money for the American Cancer Society

People at Cornelius Town Hall are giving back this month. A crew of Cornelius town leaders took a morning out for a service project last week, delivering meals to those in need on behalf of Charlotte-based Friendship Trays. And Town Hall’s Cornelius Cruzers are the top team so far in fundraising for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser, which will be May 2 at Bailey Road Park.
The mayor, town manager and other officials assembled Thursday morning, March 20, at the Angels & Sparrows soup kitchen off Old Statesville Road. There, they were given meals to deliver on routes in north Charlotte and north Mecklenburg. Read the full story
