Electricity went out Monday morning for 856 Duke Energy customers in Cornelius, including the Jetton Village area off West Catawba Avenue.
The power went out shortly after 10:30am, and a repair crew was dispatched just before 11am. The electricity was restored by 11:45am, according to Duke Energy.
A Duke spokesman said the company also received calls about the outage from customers in the Torrence Chapel Road area.
At around 2 pm, the spokesman said something shut down power to a main transmission line thorough the area. He said workers were unable to determine what caused the outage.
