HUNTERSVILLE – Police are asking for help tracking down a man who robbed the Game Stop store on Lindholm Drive in Birkdale Village Tuesday afternoon. On Friday, Huntersville police issued a series of photos of the suspect taken by security cameras.

On Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 3:35 pm, Huntersville Police Officers were called to the Game Stop located at 8830 Lindholm Drive, Suite 110 in reference to a disturbance. Upon their arrival they spoke with an employee that was assaulted by an unknown black male subject. The subject had an argument with the store employee about returning an item which he had purchased the day before. During the argument he walked around the counter and assaulted the Game Stop employee. During the assault the employee was forced to give the suspect money from the cash register. After receiving the cash the suspect fled the scene on foot towards Sam Furr Road.
The store employees described the suspect as a black male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’10” and weighing around 200 lbs., with short black hair in tight corn rows, wearing dark pants and a yellow shirt with an off-white jacket. The suspect also had a black drawstring backpack and wore red and black gloves.
During the course of this investigation, the Huntersville Police Department has obtained the attached photographs of the suspect through store surveillance footage.
The Huntersville Police Department is asking that citizens take note of the suspect’s photographs, and if they recognize the individual to please contact the Huntersville Police Department.
