Cornelius Police said Tuesday they’re searching for a man with a handgun who robbed the Harris Teeter in Jetton Village at 12:02 a.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said the suspect, a black male wearing a dark coat and red-and-white tennis shoes, was last seen running toward Jetton Road.
Police weren’t sure this morning how much money the man took from the store, at 19815 North Cove Road. He was described as a “skinny” black male, with dark hat and wearing a bandana.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at approximately 12:02am, Cornelius Police were dispatched to the Harris Teeter at 19815 North Cove Road in reference to an armed robbery.
The suspect is described as a skinny, black male wearing a dark color coat, red and white tennis shoes, black hat, and a black bandana over his face. He was carrying a small, dark in color hand gun. Witnesses say he left the store and fled towards Jetton Road. (Above) are photos taken from the surveillance video.
