Chief academic officer Ann Clark and the superintendents of schools in Reno, Nev., and Memphis are the three finalists for the job of superintendent of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, the district announced Monday.
The district is seeking to replace interim superintendent Hugh Hattabaugh, who has been running the system since Peter Gorman stepped down in August.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education announces three finalists for superintendency
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 9, 2012 – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education has announced the three finalists for the superintendency. They are:
- Kriner Cash, currently serving as superintendent of Memphis City Schools.
- Ann Clark, currently serving as chief academic officer of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
- Heath Morrison, currently superintendent in Washoe County School District in Reno, Nevada.
