Cornelius Police are looking for suspect(s) after multiple gun shots were fired at the Village Apartments Thursday. No one was injured when shots were fired just before 3 a.m., but stray bullets struck four apartments, according to investigators.
Cornelius Police were dispatched to the apartments, at 19317 Meridian Street, at 2:49 a.m. after witnesses reported multiple gun shots fired. Witnesses say they saw a red, compact car leaving the scene, according to police.
Upon investigation, detectives discovered four occupied apartments had been struck by stray bullets, though no one was injured.
Officers have increased patrol in the area of the Village Apartments.
