The Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department Summer Concerts in the Park series kicks off – with a bang – June 11, with gates opening at 6 p.m. at Bailey Road Park. A fireworks show will follow a performance by the Charlotte Symphony. See the complete schedule below.
The summer concert lineup is as follows:
- JUNE 11: Symphony in the Park, featuring the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Doors open 6 pm, Bam Jazz Trio plays at 7 pm, Symphony at 8:15 pm. Followed by fireworks.
- JUNE 25: 80’s Night in the Park, featuring 80’z Enuff
- JULY 23: Beach Bash in the Park, featuring The North Tower Band
- AUGUST 6: Country Night in the Park, featuring The Chris Lane Band
- AUGUST 20: 70’s Night in the Park, featuring The Throwback Band

The park is located at 11536 Bailey Road in Cornelius. In addition to the music, the events include activities for children and concessions. Parking and admission are free. People may bring coolers, but pets, glass containers, alcohol and open flames are prohibited.
Parking is available at the park, and at Bailey Middle and Hough High schools nearby, with shuttle service beginning at 6 p.m.
