Mecklenburg County officials, including County Manager Harry Jones and county commission chair Jennifer Roberts, will be in Cornelius Wednesday night, April 27, for a town hall meeting on the 2011-12 budget, taxes and priorities.

The meeting will run from 7 to 9 p.m., in the community room at Cornelius Town Hall.

Speakers will include Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners Chair Jennifer Roberts, District 1 Commissioner Karen Bentley, Mecklenburg County Manager Harry Jones, the county’s Budget and Management Director Hyong Yi and Willie Ratchford of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee. Speakers will offer comments, address the county’s budget and priorities, and hope to initiate a community dialogue about the issues, according to a press release.
